"Prevent the learning slide and introduce new skills"
The main focus of a Winchmore Camp is academic achievement. Our morning classes are action packed and interactive and include curriculum based elements such as: Maths beat that challenge, Spelling Wizards, The mini write, The massive write, The great Comprehendo, Maths and English Key focus sessions, Reasoning games.
Bespoke academic content
We can work with schools who, at certain points in the year, who wish to setup bespoke content for specific year groups for example SATs prep, Yr 6-7 transition, and 11+.
Sports and activities
We work with the school facilities and needs of pupils to provide a fun and engaging sports and activities programme in the afternoon. Sports include football, netball, basketball, cricket, swimming and rugby. Activites include arts and crafts, dance and drama, music and much more. We try to get children outside and active as much as possible (weather permitting!).
Our camps are arranged on your school site as either a 'one-off' week or as a regular holiday camp. The majority of schools that we work with fund places for disadvantaged pupils and then offer the camp to other parents to subsidise their own costs.
Regular holiday camps are Ofsted registered and as a result parents can use childcare vouchers to fund costs.
